Peer Review Policy
Lingua Montenegrina maintains a rigorous, transparent, and ethical peer review process to ensure high-quality publications.
Type of Peer Review
- Double-blind review: Reviewer and author identities are anonymized throughout the process.
Reviewer Selection
- Reviewers are selected based on expertise and academic standing in relevant fields.
- Conflicts of interest are disclosed, and reviewers recuse themselves if necessary.
Review Responsibilities
- Evaluate manuscripts objectively, with clear reasoning and evidence.
- Maintain strict confidentiality; unpublished materials must not be shared or used for personal research.
- Report suspected ethical violations (plagiarism, falsified data, or misconduct) to the editorial board.
Review Procedure
- Each manuscript is reviewed by at least two independent experts.
- Reviewers submit detailed reports within 30–60 days.
- If opinions diverge, a third reviewer may be consulted.
- Authors receive anonymized feedback and must respond with point-by-point revisions if required.
Manuscript Evaluation Criteria
Editors and reviewers assess:

- Originality and contribution
- Methodological rigor
- Clarity and academic quality

- Accuracy and appropriateness of references
Editorial Decision and Revisions
Decisions may include:
- Acceptance
- Major or minor revisions
- Rejection
Revised manuscripts must include a point-by-point response to reviewer comments.
